I stumbled on this video somewhere on the interweb. We’ve all heard about Kanye and Robert Smith dissing radiohead (people I actually respect) but Miley Cyrus?!?!? Apparently, Miley claims that Radiohead is one of her favorite bands and they are “the reason I love music” and the only band she’d “cry over”. I really find it hard to believe she even knew who Radiohead was before two months ago. Of course most people in the music industry respect Radiohead because they create music that most would never dare create. It was only time before Miley would jump on the band wagon as she tries to garner more respect beyond her Disney career. It was also only a matter of time until Cyrus jumped on the dissing Radiohead club as well. I can hear it now, “Kanye and whoever Robert Smith is, are totally cool right?”
Miley had asked her people to arrange a meeting with Radiohead during the Grammys and according to Greenplastic.com, Radiohead’s people told Cyrus, “we don’t really do that”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. However, this didn’t sit well with Cyrus and her self absorbed teenybop Disneymania crew. She proceeded to say, “stinkin Radiohead, I will ruin them”.
How about a meeting with the Jonas Bros. instead?

OK wow i love it that the only song the kids know is Creep, cause they probably played it on Rock Band once and hated it. I dont know why they wouldn’t see her, i mean how would that hurt them, and she should be like OK whatever they dont wan to see me. She says she got into the business to make people happy, well honey Radiohead got into the business to make great rock music, apparently not to meet teenyboppers. Oh well chalk it up to whateverness.

Decasere, Why else would you start a rock band but to make people happy and get laid. If I were in a rock band, I would only wish to make the ladies happy. Great rock music is a means to an end. The end goal is cocaine, sex, and drunk driving a rolls royce all over LA. How long until Miley follows her proteges of Paris and Lindsay Lohan?
